David Beckham, football icon, gay icon and fashion icon, can now add a new string to his bow – he’s Britain’s most famous black man.A C4 documentary claims that the Manchester United star is the British black community’s greatest icon.
The programme, Black Like Beckham, cites his “bling bling” taste in clothes, cars and music as evidence that he is black in all but looks.
