Harmon coached Tiger Woods from 1992-2002. He thinks Woods will play in the US Open and The Open at St Andrews this year.

“Those who say he will never play again are crazy,” he told The Sun, “I think he will play this year. The reason I say that is two of the Major venues this year – the US Open at Pebble Beach and The Open at St Andrews – are two of his favorite places.”

Tiger Woods has seen suprising support from golf experts and from his many business associates, especially in light of the nature of the scandal surrounding him.

It’s almost as if some people dealt with two different Tiger Woods. Harmon counts himself among those who didn’t know anything about Tiger’s naughty nature. He said he was shocked by the reports he was reading about his former student.

It’s still Tiger Time as far as TAG Heuer is concerned.

The prestigious watchmaker has clarified Friday’s reports that it had dropped Tiger Woods as a “brand ambassador” in the wake of his adultery scandals.

In a statement to UsMagazine.com, TAG Heuer President and CEO Jean-Christoph Babin says, “the partnership with Tiger Woods will continue.” With some temporary modifications, that is.

“We will downscale the use of his image in certain markets for a period of time, depending on his decision about returning to professional golf,” Babin explains.

The decision to “downscale” was made out of “respect” for Woods’ “privacy” at this time. “We will continue to actively support the Tiger Woods Foundation,” Babin adds.

The golfer has already paid the $164 fine. State attorney’s office officials told Florida troopers there is insufficient evidence to pursue case further and no claims of domestic violence were made.

Reporting from Orlando, Fla. – After five days of speculation about Tiger Woods’ crash outside his mansion, the Florida Highway Patrol announced Tuesday it gave the world’s No. 1 golfer a traffic ticket.

Woods already has paid the $164 fine, court records show.

Woods, 33, drove carelessly when he steered his Cadillac Escalade into a fire hydrant and then into a neighbor’s tree about 2:25 a.m. Friday, troopers said. In addition to the fine, he received four points on his driving record, FHP spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes said.

During a brief news conference, Montes insisted that the world-famous athlete had not received special treatment.

The Orange-Osceola state attorney’s office advised troopers there was insufficient evidence to issue a subpoena or require that blood evidence from Woods’ hospitalization be handed to investigators, said Maj. Cindy Williams.

No one involved in the incident made any claims of domestic violence, Williams said. Such allegations might have compelled investigators to look further into the accident.
